  1. May 21,  · Musically it doesn't hurt, but let's face it, "Tour de France Soundtracks" is more of an excuse of an album, exploiting the theme of cycling (well, recycling more like) over a tedious 55 minute road trip imagined by someone stuck cycling at the gym instead/5(K).
  2. The digital lead singer punctuates the songs giving them a very futuristic appeal. I played the CD with headphones on and felt like I was in a future time looking back on the Tour De France Race. It's been a long time (17 years) since Kraftwerk has released an album of new music. Tour De France Soundtracks shows us they haven't lost the magic.4/5(85).
  3. Tour de France Soundtracks became the highest charting Kraftwerk album. It peaked at number one in Germany, becoming the band's first number one in their home country. However, it did not enter the Billboard , even though every Kraftwerk studio album since Ralf and Florian Genre: Electronica.
  4. AllMusic Review by John Bush [+] "Chrono" is the track closest to the Kraftwerk ideal, with its future-shock synth and percussion precision, while "Vitamin" is the farthest away (a downbeat track that still could only have escaped from the Kling Klang studio). Tour de France Soundtracks is a successful record on anyone's terms;8/
