  1. Jul 09,  · I ordered "Stella" by Yello, but when the CD came, inside the "Stella" case was a completely different Yello CD, "Solid Pleasure". I would have kept that, but I already have it. I gave it two stars because at least it was a CD from the same band/5(38).
  2. Aug 17,  · Yello - Stella This is a crystal-clear vinyl pressing. That pristine Yello production shines through with all the punch and clarity as one would hope. Heard Stella for the first time as a teenager, back in the early nineties, on a cassette tape and it is still as ahead of its time now as it was then, perhaps even more so now that one gets to appreciate it from a different point of view with /5(K).
  3. Stella is the fourth studio album by the Swiss electronic band Yello, first released in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on 29 January , and in the UK and US in March It was the first album made by the band without founder member Carlos Perón, and with his departure the remaining duo of Boris Blank and Dieter Meier began to move away from experimental electronic sounds towards a Genre: Synthpop.
  4. Yes, Stella is the album that includes Yello's biggest hit, "Oh Yeah." It's also their best single LP, an excellent production throughout by Boris Blank, from the theatric instrumentals "Stalakdrama" and "Ciel Ouvert" to the frenetic pitched percussion on "Let Me Cry."As well, Dieter Meier proves he's at his best vocally, whether it's the seamy side of life on "Desert Inn" or an exaggerated 9/
